Personal Greeting and Agenda

BLUE KNIGHTS SRC SPRING 2010HOSTED BY FLORIDA XVIII  SARASOTA / MANATEE COUNTIES FLORIDAContact spring2010src@verizon.netWEB SITE www.blueknightsflxviii.com         UPDATED FOR CHANGE TO HOST HOTAL LOCATION            Hello my name is Rory Mac Connell. I am the President of Florida XVIII Manatee and Sarasota counties. Our membership is hosting the 2010 Spring SRC, and we are very excited to have our Blue Knight Brother’s, Sister’s and family traveling to our beautiful area for the conference. The host hotel had to be changed due to circumstances beyond our control. The new host hotel is a brand new Holiday Inn located in Sarasota / Manatee counties. They have 105 rooms that will be $70 + tax for $80.50 per night. Breakfast will not be included in the room rate, our chapter needed to keep the room rate down, the hotel will issue a discount breakfast card to SRC member’s for the breakfast buffet for $9.99.  Our secondary hotel, a Hampton Inn is 1 ½ mile from this property. Motor coaches will be given space for the conference at the host hotel parking lot (no hook ups). The adjacent parking lot is huge. We will have a hospitality room set up in the Ballroom, an indoor heated pool, whirlpool spa, coed steam room and sauna pool side, a massage suite / service is also available. They have a large outdoor deck for lounging in the sun and a fire pit surrounded by an outdoor sofa for 20 plus, for the evenings.  The lobby has an atrium area with lots of seating and a bar / lounge and restaurant. All rooms have a small fridge and the usual equipment (no microwave). Wifi throughout the facility, pet friendly, handicap accessible and hired security from 11 PM till 7 AM for the parking areas will be provided as well. The local Budweiser distributor will be assisting with decorations and libations for our event. The facility is located 10 minutes from the Gulf of Mexico for the most beautiful West Coast ocean sun set’s outside of the California Coast. This location is closer downtown Sarasota and St Armands circle than the Venice location.  You must ask for group code BKL when registering for the low rate.Holiday Inn Sarasota Bradenton Airport8009 15th Street E (old 301)Sarasota, FL. 34243941-355-9000 Holiday Inn Sarasota Bradenton Airport -Blue Knights Law Enforcement         We are planning a ride for Friday and a BBQ lunch on south Lido beach; bring your bathing suits.
